A 19th century Charpentier gilt bronze and rouge marble French mantle clock of outstanding quality. The marble case profusely decorated with bronze mounts highlighted in gilt, surmounted by a winged cherub with bow and arrows standing on a flaming oil lamp, the face with gilt Roman numerals and delicate filigree hands surmounted by a natives head with a panel below decorated with two winged cherubs. Paw feet highlighted in gilt.

The two train 8 day movement sounding the hours and half hours on a bell, stamped Charpentier Ft De Bronze 214 a Paris for the renowned Paris foundry.

This clock is in excellent condition. The marble is perfect with no chips or cracks. The movement has been serviced by our qualified Horologist. The bronze and gilding is in excellent condition.
