French Gilt Brass Mantel Clock, Circa 1830

A beautiful French Cherub mantel clock, gilt brass, the ceramic dial with Breguet hands, the bezel decorated with flowers above foliate swags centred with a standing crane.

The rectangular base with flowering foliate swags and a central cartouche with a maidens head on four decorative bun feet.

The movement with silk suspension pendulum chiming the hours and half hours, circa 1830.
