Geoffrey Key.jpg

Geoffrey Key's painting style is instantly recognisable.

Geoffrey Key was born in Manchester in 1941. His early education was at Manchester's High School of Art before commencing a degree in 1958 and post graduate studies at the Manchester Regional College of Art.

His early works displayed a muted palette.  His style then evolved over time to the vibrant use of colour for which he is now so well known.

After an early period teaching art Geoffrey devoted himself to full time painting.

Now in his sixth decade as an artist Geoffrey's style and diversity of subject matter ensures an ever increasing following.  He is still prolific producing a diverse range of subjects which are increasingly sought after.

Geoffrey Key is widely recognised as one of the most important living Northern artists.  His works are exhibited worldwide and feature in many leading public and private art collections including The Manchester Art Gallery, Salford Art Gallery, National Art Library and the Victoria and Albert Museum.
